SILENT ANGEL was formed in January 2005. James Black (bass) and Ric Davis (lead vocal) conceived the plan to form a band firmly entrenched in modern rock but with a metal edge. Originally picking up Travis Aligo (rhythm guitar), it was apparent that he had what it took to step up to lead axe. With influences of Jimmy Page and Steve Morse, Travis was a shoe-in for the band. The pulse of SILENT ANGEL is Rob Carter. After going through many drummer auditions which consumed the summer of 05, only the right drummer would do. Rob got the job because he gets the job done with flare. It may also have been fate in picking up Rob as he has a Master's degree in Metallurgy Engineering (The science of heavy metals) hmm?...
Once all members were in place, the magic started. It wasn't long till word got out that something big was brewing in Oceano. Front man Ric Davis' raw energy, James Black's unique style of combining punk with hard rock, Travis Aligo's intricate leads and Rob Carter's talent at keeping the sound at its peak tempo is in a word - EXPLOSIVE. SILENT ANGEL's charter contains three things; (1) Tight modern rock (2) State-of-the-art gear and (3) an in-your-face stage performance that is a MUST to see on California's Central Coast.
